Prince William Sound glacier cruise

Turned out to be a rainy day, but still amazing!

Yes, that is one of the glaciers behind Alex and I.  We heard and saw a calving while there too.

Lots of wildlife to see.

The Glacier 26 Cruise boat was pretty nice as well.  What a great time together.

Silver salmon at Jim Creek

Alex catches the first fish, right off the bat.
This is about 4 AM.

Yes, it is Brooke...awake at 4:30 AM !
Randy catches a nice silver, way to go.

Brooke takes care of the cleaning so Dad can head into work for the day... Randy gives her a hand.

Making G'ma Schwiethale's sweet pickles

First time to make sweet pickles.
Looks like we picked the perfect recipe to me :)
Thanks to Grandma.  We sure do miss her.

2013 dipnetting for Kasilof reds

Just how many do we need to catch before we go home?

This is 6 AM and the tide is going out still.

It is muddy and slippery work.
Quentin has one in his net now.
Not many people are out fishing at this time, but we are having real good luck.
Now more people are fishing as it is 2 or 3 in the afternoon.
Here comes Lonnie with a nice sized fish.
Everyone has a job to do.
Freezer filled up.  Getting ready for winter to come.

Halibut at Whiskey Gulch

Nice "chicken halibut"

All geared up and ready to go.

Not afraid to try new things and learn something new!

Don't want this Skate...better get it off the line.

Try as I might, I could not catch my halibut :(       Next time!
